Carlotta Overview
In Wuthering Waves, Carlotta is a 5-Stars Glacio character and uses Pistol during the fight.
Carlotta obtains Moldable Crystals during combat, consumes Moldable Crystals, and restores Substance to perform damage output. Most of Carlotta’s skills are single-target.
Pros
- Excellent at single target
- Easy to operate
Cons
- Not good in multi-targets scenerio.
Carlotta Mechanism
Forte Circuit Energy – Substance
Carlotta’s passive energy is called [Substance], displayed above the health bar, with a maximum value of 120, divided into two segments. The way to use Carlotta’s passive energy is quite simple. When the Forte Circuit Bar is fully charged, holding down the Basic Attack button will unleash a Charged Heavy Attack. There are two types of Charged Heavy Attacks, and you can see a diamond-shaped crystal in the middle of the Forte Circuit Bar, called the [Tinted Crystal].
- When the crystal is red, the Charged Heavy Attack becomes a Special Charged Heavy Attack, which deals damage at a multiplier of 800%+, provides a large amount of Liberation energy (Ultimate energy), and reduces the cooldown of Resonance Skill by 6 seconds. However, after using the Special Charged Heavy Attack, the crystal turns blue and enters a 22-second cooldown. During this cooldown, if [Substance] fills up again, only Normal Charged Heavy Attacks can be used. While these also reduce the Skill cooldown by 6 seconds, their damage multiplier is only 200%+.
Thus, in Carlotta’s common rotation, only the Special Charged Heavy Attack needs to be used, with no need to allocate [Substance] for Normal Charged Heavy Attacks. Additionally, when [Substance] is fully charged, Carlotta gains a buff called [Final Bow], which increases the Ultimate’s damage multiplier by 80%. Once obtained, the [Final Bow] buff remains permanently until the Ultimate is used, and switching characters does not cause the buff to disappear.
How to obtain [Substance]
On Carlotta’s left side, you may notice a snowflake-shaped icon called [Moldable Crystal], with a maximum of 6. When Carlotta uses the second hit of her Basic Attack, dodges, uses her Intro Skill, performs a Plunge Attack, Normal Heavy Attack, or the first stage of her Skill, she gains 3 Moldable Crystals.
When Carlotta uses Enhanced Basic Attacks, Counter-Dodges, or the second stage of her Resonance Skill, she consumes Moldable Crystals. For every 1 Moldable Crystal consumed, 10 points of [Substance] are gained.
- Enhanced Basic Attacks and Counter-Dodges each consume only 1 Moldable Crystal at a time.
- The second stage of the Resonance Skill consumes all of Carlotta’s available Moldable Crystals.
Thus, the Resonance Skill’s second stage is the most efficient way to generate [Substance]. Additionally, using the Intro Skill grants 3 Moldable Crystals and directly provides 30 points of [Substance].
Carlotta Active Skills
Carlotta Skills Priority
Carlotta’s damage multiplier is approximately 53% from Resonance Liberation, so upgrading Resonance Liberation should be the top priority. Next is the Resonance Skill, which account for 24% of the damage multiplier. Following that is Forte Circuit, contributing about 11% to the multiplier.

Carlotta Resonance Chain
S1 – An additional 30 points of Substance allows Carlotta to cycle much faster during solo play. In team situations, it also alleviates the issue of the signature weapon’s buff duration being too short.
Because the signature weapon’s buff effect only lasts 5 seconds, Carlotta usually enters with Intro Skill and uses two Resonance Skills. She performs a mid-air attack, followed by Heavy Attack – Imminent Oblivion. At this point, the buff disappears. In other words, the tail damage of Heavy Attack – Imminent Oblivion with a 500% multiplier doesn’t benefit from the signature weapon’s bonus.
With S1 Carlotta, Resonance Skills and Intro Skill can obtain 120 points of Substance. We can perform a combo of Intro Skill + Resonance Skill + mid-air attack + Heavy Attack – Imminent Oblivion + Resonance Liberation, then execute Resonance Skill – Chromatic Splendor during Resonance Liberation.
S2 – The multiplier of the Resonance Liberation is increased by 126%, and the Final Bow buff’s 80% multiplier is multiplicative with that. That is, the original multiplier is multiplied by 1.8 and then by 2.26. Therefore, the benefits are very good.
S3 – The benefit is very high, with a 24% increase. Resonance Skills’ multiplier is increased by 70%.
S4-S6 – Purely numerical increases. The multiplier increase effect of S6 is the same as in S2 and is multiplicative with the Final Bow’s 80% increase.

Sub Stats
Echo should opt for the new Glacio set, Frosty Resolve, which offers 5-6% higher damage compared to the old Glacio set.
The new Glacio set provides a total of 34.5% Glacio damage bonus and 60% Resonance Skill damage bonus, which is very considerable. In contrast, the old Glacio set only provides a 52% Glacio and 12% Resonance Skill damage bonus. Not only are the values higher, but the effects are also easier to trigger.
Regarding the comparison between the new and old 4-piece Echo Skills—Sentry Construct and Lampylumen Myriad—Lampylumen Myriad has an advantage in AoE environments, but in single-target boss battles, they are about the same.

Carlotta’s signature weapon, The Last Dance, provides exceptionally high Crit DMG and Resonance Skill damage bonuses, making it undoubtedly the most suitable weapon for Carlotta. If you do not plan to obtain the signature weapon, Static Mist and Undying Flame (R5) are viable alternatives, performing at 83% and 75% of the signature weapon’s effectiveness, respectively.
Carlotta Team Comp
Carlotta Best Team
Main DPS
Main DPS – Carlotta
Carlotta is a single-target specialized character, with nearly 90% of her damage coming from Resonance Skill damage. Therefore, teammates need to find characters that can enhance Glacio damage and Resonance Skill damage.
Sub DPS – Zhezhi/Taoqi/Lumi
Zhezhi’s 20% Glacio DMG and 25% Resonance Skill DMG Deepen perfectly complement Carlotta. If you don’t have Zhezhi, replacing with Taoqi or Lumi is also acceptable.
Healer – Shorekeeper/Verina/Baizhi
In addition to providing the traditional 15% All DMG Deepen like other healers, Shorekeeper’s Liberation can offer continuous healing, crit rate, and crit damage, making it very powerful. The Outro Skill’s buff allows knocked-back teammates to immediately recover from the interruption.
Both Verina and Baizhi are healers that can provide All-types DMG deepen and ATK% increase to teammates. While Verina is more comprehensive that her buff is longer and Verina can protects a party member from fatal damage every 10 mins.

Calcharo
Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.
After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.
Encore
mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.
In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.
Sanhua
Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.
Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.
Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
