Denia Overview
In Wuthering Waves, Denia is a 5-Stars Fusion character and uses Rectifier during the fight.
Denia Mechanism
Denia’s normal state, also known as the Pink State, is called Stagecraft Form. If you see these four characters in a skill description, or any skill – such as a Basic Attack, Resonance Skill, or Resonance Liberation followed by this suffix – it indicates that the skill belongs to the Pink State.
For example, Basic Attack – Stagecraft Form refers to her normal Basic Attack. The third stage of this attack has a grouping effect. However, we usually don’t use this third stage, so just keep that in mind as a general fact.
While using Basic Attacks, you will restore her pink Circuit energy. This energy is referred to in the skill descriptions as Void Particle. It can be charged through Basic Attacks, Resonance Skills, and her Intro Skill. When playing Denia, there’s one thing you must always remember: only activate her Resonance Liberation when the pink energy is fully charged.
We typically have two combos to fully charge the pink energy.
The first combo is to use her Intro Skill to enter the field, then perform one Basic Attack. This is because after her Intro Skill, she will directly follow up with the fourth stage of her Basic Attack, which provides the most energy. Then, pressing her skill once will fully charge the pink energy.
The second combo is to use her Resonance Skill followed by four Basic Attacks. This will also fully charge the energy.
So, if you don’t have an Intro Skill, where does that initial pink energy come from? After Denia uses her enhanced Resonance Liberation, she gains an effect that grants her 1 Void Particle per second.
After fully charging the pink energy, activating her first-stage Resonance Liberation transforms Denia from Pink State to Black State, also known as Breakdown Form.
In Black State, using enhanced Basic Attacks consumes her Circuit energy to charge the “little figure” in the middle – essentially, to charge her enhanced Resonance Liberation. This charging energy is referred to in the skill descriptions as Conformal Charge.
Enhanced Basic Attacks that consume Circuit energy have two effects:
Their damage multiplier is increased by 50%, and the damage type changes from Basic Attack damage to Denia’s core Resonance Liberation damage.
The Conformal Charge gained is doubled.
Now, what if you use up all your Circuit energy with enhanced Basic Attacks but still haven’t fully charged the enhanced Resonance Liberation?
Let’s look at Denia’s enhanced skill in Black State.
When Black State Denia has Dark Cores – these are the three orbs below her Circuit bar – regardless of how many she has, as long as she has at least one, her normal Resonance Skill becomes an Enhanced Resonance Skill.
The first stage of this Enhanced Resonance Skill can group enemies. Then, by pressing the skill button again or the Basic Attack key, you can trigger the second stage. This consumes all Dark Cores to deal damage and provides a large chunk of Conformal Charge. Each Dark Core consumed increases the damage multiplier by 150%.
Afterwards, Denia leaves behind an Erosion Field core at the location where the enhanced Resonance Liberation was activated. This core deals area-of-effect damage and groups enemies every 4 seconds, for a total of 7 instances of damage.

Denia Skills Priority

The damage multipliers are distributed pretty evenly across the different skills, so just level up every skill except the Intro Skill. As for priority: Resonance Liberation > Forte Circuit = Resonance Skill = Basic Attack > Intro Skill — basically, level everything except the Intro Skill.

Solo % / Team %

S1: Grants Crit DMG, while also giving interruption resistance to the last two Basic Attacks and to Resonance Skill. The third effect only starts to matter after S3, when Black Denia can retain more comfortably in Open World content.
S2: Grants Denia and Aemeath 50% Fusion DMG Bonus, gives Denia 10% RES Ignore starting from the third rotation, and improves the multiplier of her Enhanced RS. The 40% modifier here is multiplicative.
S3: Increases Enhanced RL damage by 1.8x, raises Dark Core capacity to 5, fully restores it when entering combat for the first time, and halves the automatic generation interval afterward. At full Dark Core stacks, Pink Denia’s 4th Basic Attack or normal Resonance Skill can also consume Dark Core for an additional 1200% multiplier. In Open World, this allows her to quickly delete enemies.
S4: The value of this RC is minimal.
S5: A standard damage bonus node.
S6: In addition to raising damage, it grants one extra Fusion Burst trigger. Erosion Field can therefore resolve once per rotation at maximum Fusion Burst stacks with triple damage, without consuming those stacks, and Enhanced RL can reset the trigger count. In Aemeath teams, this is roughly a 1.5x increase to Fusion Burst DPS, excluding the extra resolution from Aemeath’s Enhanced Skill.
Tune Strain teams: The logic is mostly the same — just make sure Denia triggers one Tune Break per rotation.

Silent Glows in a Dimlit Dream
Denia Sequence 1
Crit. DMG is increased by 30%.
When performing Resonance Skill Phantom Bubble – Stagecraft Form, or Resonance Skill Banish – Breakdown Form, Basic Attack – Breakdown Form Stage 3, Basic Attack – Breakdown Form Stage 4, Mid-air Attack – Breakdown Form Stage 3, and Mid-air Attack – Breakdown Form Stage 4, Denia becomes immune to interruption.
When Denia enters combat in Stagecraft Form, she obtains the Entropy Shift: Stagecraft Form effect for 30s.
When Denia enters combat in Breakdown Form, she obtains the Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form effect for 12s.

Tossed in the Tides of Reality
Denia Sequence 2
When Denia is in Resonance Mode – Fusion Burst, after a Resonator in the team inflicts Fusion Burst on the target, they gain 50% Fusion DMG Bonus for 15s. After Fusion Burst is triggered on enemies near the active Resonator in the team, Denia gains 1 stacks of Degenerate Voidmatter for 15s, up to 10 stacks. Each stack of Degenerate Voidmatter causes Denia to ignore 1% of the target’s Fusion RES.
This effect ends when Denia switches modes.
When Denia is in Resonance Mode – Tune Strain, her Forte Circuit effect is enhanced: After a Resonator in the team inflicts Tune Strain – Shifting on the target, their Tune Break Boost is increased by 20 for 15s, and the target’s Off-Tune Level is increased by 100% of the max. This effect can only be triggered once per 300s on the same target.
This effect ends when Denia switches forms.
The DMG Multiplier of Resonance Skill Banish – Breakdown Form is increased by 40%.

Through Dark and Wind, the Erlking Follows
Denia Sequence 3
The DMG Multiplier of Resonance Liberation Final Act – Breakdown Form is increased by 80%.
Denia now holds up to 5 Dark Cores. While in Entropy Shift, the shortest interval at which she can obtain Dark Core is reduced to 6s.
The Entropy Shift: Stagecraft Form effect is enhanced and now grants 4 points of Void Particle per second.
The Entropy Shift: Breakdown Form effect is enhanced: Casting Resonance Liberation Final Act – Breakdown Form additionally restores 30 points of Concerto Energy.
Denia’s Inherent Skill Vestiges of Falsehood is enhanced:
Upon entering combat, Dark Core and Void Particle are restored to the max. This effect can be triggered once every 12s.
When the number of Dark Cores reaches the limit, casting Basic Attack – Stagecraft Form Stage 4 or Resonance Skill Phantom Bubble – Stagecraft Form consumes all Dark Cores and increases the DMG Multiplier of this skill by 1200%. The DMG dealt is considered Resonance Liberation DMG.

From the Far Beyond, to the Far Beyond
Denia Sequence 4
The attack interval of Erosion Field is reduced to 3s.

If Lies Patch Up a Heart
Denia Sequence 5
The DMG of Resonance Liberation Final Act – Stagecraft Form is increased by 100%.

May You Find Your Sun in the Silence
Denia Sequence 6
While in Entropy Shift states, gain 60% ATK increase and 60% Fusion DMG Bonus.
While Denia is in Resonance Mode – Fusion Burst, after Erosion Field deals damage, trigger Fusion Burst on the target based on its max limit. The Fusion Burst DMG triggered gains a 200% DMG Multiplier increase against the main target and does not remove the Fusion Burst stacks on the targets hit. The effect can be triggered on the same target up to 1 time. When the target is damaged by Resonance Liberation Final Act: Breakdown Form, the effect’s trigger count is reset. The trigger count can be reset for the same target once every 2s.
While Denia is in Resonance Mode – Tune Strain, when Resonators in the team deal Tune Break DMG to Mistuned enemies in Tune Strain – Shifting, they additionally inflict 1 stack of Tune Strain – Interfered on the target. This effect can only be triggered on the same target once every 3s.

Calcharo
Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.
After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.
Encore
mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.
In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.
Sanhua
Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.
Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.
Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
