Lucilla Overview

In Wuthering Waves, Lucilla is a 5-Stars Glacio character and uses Rectifier during the fight.

Lucilla Mechanism

Lucilla has two Resonance Modes: Glacio Chafe and Echo. After activating her Resonance Liberation, she gains different effects depending on the mode.

The Circuit bar has a maximum of 150 points, divided into segments of 50 points each, and these segments are called Traces. Every time a segment is filled, a Photo is automatically generated. Traces can be gained in two ways: an Intro Skill grants 100 Traces, while the third Basic Attack or her Skill grants 50 Traces. In practice, this means you can simply use her Intro Skill to enter the field and then use her Skill.

Lucilla’s Basic Attack has 3 stages. By holding down the Basic Attack button, she will automatically perform all 3 stages in succession. During the third stage of her Basic Attack, while holding the button, a Focus Ring will appear. You release the button when the pointer moves to the highlighted section to trigger a Perfect Focus, landing the A3 attack. The highlighted section grows over time, and when it fills the entire ring, the attack will automatically release, also giving you the A3. Holding down her Resonance Skill also brings up a Focus Ring, and releasing the button when the pointer moves to the highlighted section triggers a Perfect Focus, landing the enhanced Skill.

Additionally, after unlocking the Inherent Skill Slow Motion, Lucilla gains effects based on her mode. In Glacio Chafe mode, enemies’ Glacio RES is reduced for 30 seconds. If an enemy is killed by Glacio Chafe DMG, it is considered killed by the active character. In Echo mode, the entire team’s Echo DMG bonus is increased by 25% for 30 seconds.

When you have three Photos, you can activate her Resonance Liberation. Lucilla’s Resonance Liberation has no energy requirement; it can be used as long as the cooldown is finished and you have 3 Photos. After activating her Resonance Liberation, Lucilla enters an enhanced state and gains self-buffs and team buffs depending on the selected mode. For self-buffs, Lucilla’s Resonance Liberation deals damage upon activation. In Glacio Chafe mode, this damage counts as Basic Attack damage, and she gains a 30% Basic Attack DMG bonus for 10 seconds. In Echo mode, this damage counts as Echo Skill damage, and she gains a 30% Echo DMG bonus for 10 seconds.

For team buffs in Glacio Chafe mode, when a character other than Lucilla applies Glacio Chafe to an enemy, Lucilla consumes 1 stack of Film Roll to apply an additional 2 stacks of Glacio Chafe. After unlocking the Inherent Skill Remembrance, the maximum stacks of Film Roll are 10, and each Photo consumed grants 2 stacks. Simply put, activating her Resonance Liberation gives 4 stacks, and you can have up to 10 stacks after using them. Because a teammate must apply Glacio Chafe for Lucilla to consume a Film Roll and apply 2 additional stacks, Lucilla herself cannot trigger this effect. Regarding Hiyuki, Hiyuki’s Forte Circuit effect states that when a character in the party applies Glacio Chafe to a target, it is instead applied as Frostbite which deals immediate damage, and this effect works both on-field and off-field. Therefore, after Lucilla uses her Intro Skill to switch to Hiyuki, it will provide a large amount of additional Frostbite DMG. However, Effect DMG is not affected by the character’s ATK, so although Lucilla’s signature weapon provides a seemingly good 24% team-wide DMG bonus, its actual benefit is limited.

For team buffs in Echo mode, Lucilla gains 1 stack of Zoom when activating her Resonance Liberation. After unlocking the Inherent Skill Remembrance, she gains 1 stack per Photo consumed, for a maximum of 4 stacks. Each stack of Zoom increases the entire team’s Echo Skill Crit DMG by 10%, so at 4 stacks that is a 40% increase.

In her enhanced state, Lucilla also has no Heavy Attack. Holding down the Basic Attack button will automatically perform three stages of enhanced Basic Attacks in sequence. During the third stage of her enhanced Basic Attack, while holding or tapping the button repeatedly, she will continuously attack the enemy, consuming 1 Photo at intervals to release Oblivion. In Glacio Chafe mode, Oblivion deals Basic Attack damage and applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe, so three instances of Oblivion can apply 3 stacks. However, it is important to note that the Glacio Chafe applied by Oblivion does NOT trigger Film Roll. In Echo mode, Oblivion deals Echo Skill damage, and each instance of Oblivion is treated as a different named Echo Skill.

After the third stage of her enhanced Basic Attack ends, Lucilla will automatically release Letting It Go. In Glacio Chafe mode this deals Basic Attack damage, and in Echo mode this deals Echo Skill damage. It also grants an additional 20 Concerto energy.

For her Outro Skill, in Glacio Chafe mode, enemies take 60% increased Glacio Chafe DMG for 30 seconds, and this effect does not disappear when switching characters. In Echo mode, the next character to take the field gains 50% Echo DMG Deepen for 14 seconds, but this effect is lost when switching characters.

Suggested Resonance Chain

The Percentage shown is damage boost of the Resonance Chain.

Sequence 1
Sequence 2
Sequence 3
Sequence 4
Sequence 5
Sequence 6

S1
Lucilla can automatically achieve Perfect Focus immediately. Besides improving gameplay comfort, this also helps compress the rotation length. The 20% Crit Rate bonus may cause Crit Rate to overflow when paired with Shorekeeper, but pairing her with Chixia is fine.

S2
Glacio Chafe DMG Deepen is increased by 80%. Together with her Outro Skill, this reaches 140%. When Hiyuki takes the field, her signature weapon provides another 20%, and her Inherent Skill provides 60%, for a total of 220%. This means that Lucilla’s inclusion in the team greatly increases the proportion of damage coming from Glacio Chafe DMG.

S3
Simple damage increase.

S4
Provides a small grouping effect, but the effect is relatively mediocre. This is because her Resonance Skill already has a grouping effect, and Oblivion is triggered during the duration of the third stage of her enhanced Basic Attack. In most situations, this grouping effect is not very useful, unless new enemies happen to spawn during the third stage of her enhanced Basic Attack just as a wave transitions.

S5
The boost is minimal.

S6
The second effect which grants 150 Traces is actually designed for Lucilla enthusiasts when exploring the overworld. The problem, however, is that you have to activate her Resonance Liberation first each time.

Distant Noon

Lucilla Sequence 1

While casting Resonance Skill – Phantom Frame to deploy Focus Ring, the first time landing the cursor within Perfect Focus will immediately expand Perfect Focus to fill up Focus Ring.
Lucilla’s Crit. Rate increases by 20% for 10s when Resonance Skill – Spotlight is cast.
Lucilla is immune to interruptions while casting Resonance Skill – Phantom Frame and Basic Attack – Tracing Forms Stage 3.

Slumbering Moonlight

Lucilla Sequence 2

While casting Resonance Liberation – Clear As Day, Lucilla grants the following enhancements based on her Resonance Mode:
– When in Resonance Mode – Glacio Chafe, Glacio Chafe DMG against targets within a certain range around the active Resonator is Amplified by 80%.
– When in Resonance Mode – Echo, grant 40% Echo Skill DMG Amplification to Resonators in the team.
These enhancements last as long as Reminiscence is active and remain effective for 30s after Reminiscence ends.
These effects end when Lucilla switches Resonance Modes.

Days Fade Unheard

Lucilla Sequence 3

The DMG Multiplier of Letting It Go is increased by 100%.

The Past Fades Into Silence

Lucilla Sequence 4

Oblivion pulls in nearby targets on hit. While casting Oblivion, Lucilla’s ATK is increased by 10% for 6s, stacking up 3 times. All stacks are removed when the duration ends.
While casting Basic Attack – Tracing Forms Stage 3, Lucilla takes 30% less DMG.

Time is Like a Stream

Lucilla Sequence 5

The DMG Multiplier of Oblivion is increased by 50%.

Gazing In the Mist of Time

Lucilla Sequence 6

When in Reminiscence, each time Lucilla consumes Photo, she gains 1 stacks of Remembrance, stacking up to 3 times. Each stack of Remembrance increases Letting It Go’s DMG dealt to the target by 200%, up to 600%. Casting Letting It Go removes all stacks of Remembrance.
Lucilla gains Longing if she has defeated a target while in Reminiscence: Upon ending Reminiscence while not in combat, consume Longing to restore 150 points of Trace.

Calcharo

Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.

After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.

Encore

mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.

In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.

Sanhua

Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.

Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.

Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
