Mornye Overview
In Wuthering Waves, Mornye is a 5-Stars Fusion character and uses Broadblade during the fight.
Mornye Mechanism
Combat Rotation
In the case of no Intro Skill start: Perform a three-segment Basic Attack to fill the Forte Circuit energy. Then long press the Basic Attack key, she will use a Heavy Attack and ascend. Next, cast Resonance Skill. Then hold the attack button without releasing. Mornye will automatically combo. After filling the Forte Circuit, she will automatically connect into an Enhanced Heavy Attack. Then activate Resonance Liberation. At last, use an Echo Skill and Outro Skill to switch to the next character.
In the case with Intro Skill: Mornye enters via Intro Skill and automatically ascends into the air. We directly use Resonance Skill followed by a long-press attack. After finishing the Enhanced Heavy Attack, activate Resonance Liberation. Then use Echo Skill and leave.
Next, let’s explain the details step by step. First, during a (no Intro Skill) cold start: Mornye’s ground Basic Attack does not need to hit the enemy, and the instant it is released, she gains Forte Circuit energy. So we can use dodge to cancel the animation to slightly speed up acquiring circuit energy. Then long press the attack key to Heavy Attack and ascend. This Heavy Attack is called [Geopotential Shift]. Mornye enters an aerial state, which is [Wide Field Observation Mode]. A countdown similar to a stamina bar will appear on the left of the character. The Forte Circuit bar will also change appearance. This ascension transition process cannot be interrupted nor can you switch characters, otherwise the ascension will fail and you have to ascend again.
Syntony Field
At the same time as entering the aerial state, Mornye will create an aura, called [Syntony Field]. This [Syntony Field] has four functions. First, and most important, it continuously restores the on-field character’s HP. Because restoring HP can trigger Mornye’s Echo set and Signature Weapon skill, providing 25% ATK and 20% Crit DMG. The second function, increases all characters’ Tune Break efficiency by 50%. But for a S0 Mornye, this isn’t very useful. The third function, increases the on-field character’s interruption resistance. I don’t recommend everyone having high expectations for this, as its anti-interrupt intensity is very minimal. The fourth function is only useful for Mornye herself. That is, during the duration of the [Syntony Field], if Mornye gets hit, pressing dodge allows her to recover, and it is treated as a successful dodge. The purpose of this function is to prevent Mornye from being knocked to the ground. Because in the aerial state, once you switch characters or Mornye touches the ground, she will immediately exit this state. The method to voluntarily exit is to press the jump key once, and Mornye will slowly descend.
Forte Circuit Energy
Okay, so after entering the aerial state, we need to restore the new Forte Circuit bar. The simplest way is first cast a Resonance Skill, then hold the attack key and let Mornye combo on her own. One Resonance Skill + 3 segments of enhanced Basic Attack exactly fills it up. Then Mornye will automatically perform the Enhanced Heavy Attack.
Now if you are in a rush, you can perform 3 segments of enhanced Basic Attack first, then utilize the damage from the third segment being released to quickly connect the Resonance Skill. You need to get familiar with the enhanced Basic Attack movements. The first segment is stepping back a bit. The second segment Mornye spins a big circle. The third segment is spinning a small circle (waving hand). Then when you see Mornye do this hand wave motion, it represents damage is dealt and you can use the next skill. Press Resonance Skill and then continue holding the attack key. This way Mornye will release the Enhanced Heavy Attack at the first opportunity, which is the [Heavy Attack – Inversion] in the skill description.
Mark Mechanics
It will apply an [Observation Mark] to the hit enemy, lasting 30 seconds. Basically permanent. Once an enemy with this mark is Tune Break-ed, Mornye will apply another [Interfered Mark] to it lasting 8s. And the prerequisite for [Interfered Mark] to work is to first let characters like Lynae apply Tune Rupture / Tune Stain buff to the enemy. Then the enemy is Tune Break-ed, only then does Mornye’s [Interfered Mark] take effect. Within 8s, team-wide damage boost. For every extra 1% Energy Regen Mornye possesses, it adds 0.25% damage boost, max 40%. So Mornye’s Energy Regen requirement is 260%. And note that, to let this 8s damage boost fully take effect, I suggest that even if the Tune Break meter is full, don’t Tune Break immediately. Wait until the Main DPS enters the field and is ready to burst, then go Tune Break. So the 50% Tune Break accumulation efficiency isn’t very useful for 0-chain Mornye. IF the enemy with the mark is defeated, within 3 seconds, if any character in the team deals damage to another enemy, then Mornye will add [Observation Mark] to it, so the subsequent [Interfered Mark] can take effect.
Resonance Liberation & Enhanced Syntony Field
Then when Mornye uses Enhanced Heavy Attack, you cannot switch characters. After finishing, connect to Resonance Liberation. Mornye’s Resonance Liberation damage depends on her Defense. Crit Rate and Crit Dmg will also increase based on Mornye’s Energy Regen. At the same time, it will transform the [Syntony Field] opened during the previous ascension into a [Enhanced Syntony Field]. On top of the existing effects, adds team-wide 20% Defense, 20% Tune Break accumulation efficiency, and a 40% healing multiplier increase effect.

Expectation Error
Heal all nearby Resonators in the team and enter the Parry state, during which DMG taken is reduced by 100% for a time. Switching to another Resonator ends this state immediately.
If attacked while in the Parry state, exit the state and cast Resonance Skill – Optimal Solution.
If not attacked while in the Parry state, press Normal Attack to exit the state and cast Basic Attack Stage 2.
Optimal Solution
Stagnate nearby targets and deal Fusion DMG, reducing the cooldown of Resonance Skill – Expectation Error by 2s.
Switching to another Resonator ends the Stagnation effect early.
Distributed Array
While in Wide Field Observation Mode, Resonance Skill is replaced with Resonance Skill – Distributed Array.
Heal all nearby Resonators in the team and summon Hover Cannons to strike the target, dealing Fusion DMG.

Heavy Attack – Geopotential Shift
When Rest Mass Energy reaches 100 points, Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack – Geopotential Shift.
Cast Heavy Attack – Geopotential Shift to deal Fusion DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG. Afterward, Mornye jumps into mid-air, consumes all Rest Mass Energy and enters Wide Field Observation Mode.
Wide Field Observation Mode
Wide Field Observation Mode lasts for 30s.
– Upon entering Wide Field Observation Mode, Mornye generates a Syntony Field.
– While in Wide Field Observation Mode, Mornye gains Relative Momentum.
– If Relative Momentum is below 100 when holding Normal Attack, perform Basic Attack – Wide Field Observation Mode Stage 1 to 3 in sequence. If Relative Momentum reaches 100 during this time, cast Heavy Attack – Inversion instead.
– While moving, Mornye continuously consumes STA. STA cannot be recovered while in Wide Field Observation Mode.
– When Dodging with directional input, Mornye starts to fly at speed, which lasts for up to 10s or until STA is depleted or until the Wide Field Observation Mode ends.
– When Mornye is hit or launched into mid-air, press Dodge to immediately recover from the attack, which is considered a successful Dodge. This effect can be triggered up to 3 times, which resets when Wide Field Observation Mode ends.
– Press Jump and Mornye will slowly descend. Before she lands, Basic Attack – Wide Field Observation Mode, Resonance Skill – Distributed Array, and Heavy Attack – Inversion are unavailable. If Jump is pressed when Mornye runs out of STA, she will exit the Wide Field Observation Mode. She will leave the Wide Field Observation Mode also when she Dodges, Jumps, or performs Mid-air Attacks.
Additionally, performing environmental interactions, using Utilities, or switching to another Resonator ends Wide Field Observation Mode. The state also ends when Mornye is no longer airborne.
Syntony Field
– Syntony Field lasts for 25s.
– When the Syntony Field is generated, deal Fusion DMG, considered Resonance Liberation DMG.
– Continuously restores HP for nearby active Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field, triggered once every 3s.
– Increases the Off-Tune Buildup Rate of all nearby Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field by 50%.
– Enhances the resistance to interruption of nearby active Resonators in the team within the Syntony Field.
Heavy Attack – Inversion
– When Relative Momentum reaches 100 points, Heavy Attack is replaced with Heavy Attack – Inversion.
– Consume all Relative Momentum to cast Heavy Attack – Inversion, dealing Fusion DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG.
– Heavy Attack – Inversion inflicts Observation Marker upon the target on hit for 30s.
Observation Marker
When a Resonator in the team deals Tune Break DMG to a target inflicted with Observation Marker, Mornye inflicts an Interfered Marker on the target for 8s.
Interfered Marker
Targets affected by Tune Rupture – Interfered or Tune Strain – Interfered take increased DMG from all nearby Resonators in the team. For every 1% of Mornye’s Energy Regen exceeding 100%, their DMG is increased by 0.25%, up to 40%.
Visual Field
When a Resonator in the team defeats a target inflicted with Observation Marker or Interfered Marker, Mornye gains Visual Field for 3s. While in this state, Mornye inflicts Observation Marker on the target hit whenever any Resonator in the team deals damage.
Tune Rupture Response – Particle Jet
Mornye deals one instance of Fusion DMG to targets in the Tune Rupture – Interfered state within range, considered Tune Rupture DMG.
Rest Mass Energy
Mornye can hold up to 100 points of Rest Mass Energy.
While in Baseline Mode, she gains Rest Mass Energy when performing Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, Dodge Counter, or when Resonance Skill – Optimal Solution hits a target.
Relative Momentum
Mornye can hold up to 100 points of Relative Momentum.
While in Wide Field Observation Mode, she gains Relative Momentum when Basic Attack – Wide Field Observation Mode, Dodge Counter – Wide Field Observation Mode or Resonance Skill – Distributed Array hits the target.
Mornye cannot gain Relative Momentum during Heavy Attack – Inversion.

Mornye Inherent Skill
Casting Resonance Skill – Expectation Error or Resonance Skill – Distributed Array grants Proof of Boundedness to all Resonators in the team:
– Proof of Boundedness lasts for 60s and can be gained once every 5 min.
– When the active Resonator takes DMG greater than 30% of their Max HP, they instead take DMG equal to 30% of their Max HP. This effect can trigger up to 3 times. Proof of Boundedness is removed after triggering it 3 times.
– When the active Resonator takes a fatal blow, they are not downed by this instance of damage. This effect can trigger up to 1 time. Proof of Boundedness is removed after triggering it 1 time.
– When Proof of Boundedness is removed, the active Resonator restores HP equal to 150% of Mornye’s DEF.

Iuno, Xiangli Yao, and Calcharo are DPS characters whose damage type is Resonance Liberation. This allows them to make great use of Lynae’s buff.
Sub DPS – Lynae
Lynae’s Resonance Liberation grants the entire team a 24% All-Type Damage Bonus. Her Outro Skill provides the next character to take the field with a 15% All-type Damage Deepen and a 25% Resonance Liberation Damage Deepen.
Healer- Mornye
Mornye can provide 25% ATK, 25% universal DMG Deepen, 50% Off-Tune Buildup Rate, and healing. When there is a character in the team like Lynae who can apply the “Tune Rupture” or “Tune Stain” status to enemies, Mornye can grant the entire team a 40% DMG Bonus for 8 seconds after a team member performs a Tune Break on an enemy.

Calcharo
Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.
After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.
Encore
mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.
In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.
Sanhua
Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.
Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.
Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output.
