Roccia Overview
In Wuthering Waves, Roccia is a 5-Stars Havoc character and uses Gauntlet during the fight.
- Provide multiple buffs to teammates
- Fast charge of Concerto Energy
- Basic Attack : Real Fantasy takes time which can be easily interrupted.
Roccia Mechanism
Skill Mechanics Overview
Imagination
- Roccia’s core gauge is called Imagination.
- It has a total of 300 points, divided into 3 segments.
- When you have at least 100 points of Imagination and are in the Beyond Imagination state, you can unleash Basic Attack – Real Fantasy.
- Each shot consumes 1 segment (100 pts) of Imagination.
- You can fire up to 3 shots.
- Each successive shot provides additional Concerto Energy, eventually reaching 51 total.
Generating Imagination
- Roccia’s Basic Attack, Heavy Attack, Aerial Attack, Dodge Counter, Intro Skill, and Resonance Skill all generate Imagination.
Basic Attack & Heavy Attack Details
Basic Attack
- Roccia’s Basic Attack combo has 4 hits in total.
- If all 4 hits connect, you gain 200 Imagination.
Heavy Attack
- Holding the attack button charges a Heavy Attack that can store just over 200 Imagination before auto-releasing.
- Landing a Heavy Attack on an enemy grants an additional 100 Imagination.
- From 0 Imagination, a fully charged Heavy Attack can fill the gauge to 300 immediately.
- However, the charge lacks interruption resistance, so it can be risky to fully charge in combat.
Entry to the Beyond Imagination state
- Heavy Attacks have higher poise than Basic Attacks, so weaker enemy hits won’t interrupt you during the charge, though stronger hits can.
- To enter the Beyond Imagination state (the aerial jump), Roccia must have ≥200 Imagination after the Heavy Attack connects. If it’s <200, she won’t jump.
These mechanics let you sometimes use quick, uncharged Heavy Attacks instead of Basic Attacks to avoid interruption in certain combos.
Resonance Skill
- The Resonance Skill (10s cooldown) is a crowd-control pull with excellent range and strength.
- When Roccia’s Heavy Attack or Resonance Skill hits an enemy, she ascends into the Beyond Imagination state (provided Imagination ≥200 after the hit).
- You’ll see small ghost icons on the gauge—each indicates one usage of Basic Attack – Real Fantasy.
- Exiting the state happens when all shots are used or Roccia leaves the field.
Roccia’s Liberation
- Roccia’s Liberation grants a team-wide Attack boost. Two notes:
- This boost is a flat Attack increase, meaning it does not scale with the character’s Attack% multipliers.
- The buff’s strength is based on Roccia’s Crit Rate at the moment you activate it. Future changes to Crit Rate do not affect it once granted.
Intro Skill & Outro Skill
Intro Skill
- When Roccia enters the field, pressing the attack button immediately triggers the 4th hit of her Basic Attack, granting 100 Imagination on hit.
- This enables quick openings and faster ramp-up of Imagination.
Outro Skill
- Grants team-wide buffs (Havoc DMG +20%, Basic Attack DMG +25%) and changes the next character’s exploration tool into a Magic Box (a weaker pull-in effect compared to Roccia’s Resonance Skill).
Roccia Active Skills
Roccia Skills Priority
Although the damage contribution of Resonance Liberation in the rotation is slightly higher than that of the Resonance Skill, the crowd-controlling ability of the Resonance Skill is extremely useful.
Therefore, it is recommended to level up Forte Circuit, Resonance Liberation & Resonance Skill together.
Roccia Burst Rotation
- Intro Skill (Imagination = 100)
- Basic Attack * 1 (Imagination = 200)
- Resonance Liberation
- Resonance Skill (Imagination = 300)
- Basic Attack * 3 (Basic Attack – Real Fantasy * 3)
- Outro Skill
Roccia Damage Types Composition
Note: Please note this chart shows the proportion of different types of damage, instead of the multiplier.
Base Attack Lv:
|
|
---|---|
Basic Attack
Perform up to 4 consecutive attacks, dealing Havoc DMG.
Heavy Attack
Consume STA to attack, dealing Havoc DMG. Hitting a target with at least 100 Imagination sends Roccia into mid-air and activates the Beyond Imagination state. The longer you hold the Basic Attack button, the more Imagination Roccia gains. In this state, Roccia can continue to charge the attack even when her STA depletes. Heavy Attack will be automatically cast when you release the Basic Attack button while charging or when Imagination reaches the max limit.
Mid-air Attack
Consume STA to perform a Plunging Attack, dealing Havoc DMG.
Dodge Counter
Use Basic Attack right after a successful Dodge to attack the target, dealing Havoc DMG.
Resonance Skill Lv:
|
|
---|---|
Roccia projects her creativity into reality, pulling in nearby targets and dealing Havoc DMG. She then launches into mid-air and activates the Beyond Imagination state.
Resonance Liberation Lv:
|
|
---|---|
Roccia’s improvised comedy begins! Deal Havoc DMG to the target, considered Heavy Attack DMG. For every 0.1% of Roccia’s Crit. Rate over 50%, this skill increases the ATK of all Resnonators in the team by 1 for 30s, up to 200 points.
Forte Circuit Lv:
|
|
---|---|
Beyond Imagination
– When Roccia is in Beyond Imagination with at least 100 Imagination, press the Basic Attack button to consume 100 Imagination to cast Basic Attack Real Fantasy.
– Roccia exits this state when she is not airborne or when switched off the field.
Basic Attack – Real Fantasy
– Perform up to 3 consecutive attacks, dealing Havoc DMG, considered Heavy Attack DMG. When Roccia lands after Stage 1 and Stage 2 attacks with over 100 Imagination, she will launch into mid-air and activate Beyond Imagination.
Imagination
Roccia can hold up to 300 Imagination.
– Dealing DMG with Normal Attacks restores Imagination.
– Hold Normal Attack to charge the next attack while restoring Imagination.
– Casting Resonance Skill Acrobatic Trick restores 100 Imagination.
– Casting Intro Skill Pero, Help restores 100 Imagination.

Sub Stats
If your Roccia is only being used to support Camellya, then equipping the Moonlit Clouds set will suffice. This is because the new Midnight Veil set, while increasing Roccia’s own damage, reduces Camellya’s attack bonus by more than 20%.
If you are using Roccia as a main DPS, then both the Midnight Veil set and the Moonlit Clouds set are viable. For example, in an all S0R1 team consisting of Camellya-Roccia-Shorekeeper, the overall team damage with Moonlit Clouds is only about 1% higher than with Midnight Veil. This small difference can be entirely ignored.
Main Echo Recommendation
Choose either Nightmare Impermanence Heron or the regular Impermanence Heron. The Nightmare Impermanence Heron has a permanent effect that increases Heavy Attack damage, which is very suitable for Roccia.
- If you are using Roccia’s signature weapon, Xiangli Yao’s weapon, or the premium weapon from the monthly battle pass, select a Crit Damage main stat for the 4C Echo.
- For other weapons, prioritize Crit Rate to achieve 70% Crit Rate as a priority.
Energy Regen Recommendations
- If you are using the Moonlit Clouds set, 130% Energy Regen is recommended (including the 2-piece set effect).
- If you are not using the Moonlit Clouds set, 140% Energy Regen is recommended.
The difference lies in the 10 Ultimate energy provided by the Impermanence Heron skill.
Sub-stat Prioritization
Once Energy Regen requirements are met:
- Crit Rate & Crit Damage (Prioritize Crit Rate first when < 70%)
- ATK%
- Heavy Attack Damage Bonus
- Flat Attack

Roccia Team Comp
Roccia Best Team I
Main DPS – Camellya
Camellya’s damage is mainly counted as Basic Attack, therefore, she needs a teammate who can enhance her Basic Attack type damage & Havoc type damage.
Sub DPS – Roccia
Because Roccia’s Outro Skill grants a 20% Havoc damage bonus and a 25% Basic Attack damage bonus as deepen effects, she is the most suitable support for Camellya.
Healer – Shorekeeper/Verina/Baizhi
In addition to providing the traditional 15% All DMG Deepen like other healers, Shorekeeper’s Liberation can offer continuous healing, crit rate, and crit damage, making it very powerful. The Outro Skill’s buff allows knocked-back teammates to immediately recover from the interruption.
Both Verina and Baizhi are healers that can provide All-types DMG deepen and ATK% increase to teammates. While Verina is more comprehensive that her buff is longer and Verina can protects a party member from fatal damage every 10 mins.
Roccia Best Team II
Main DPS – Rover Havoc
Rover Havoc’s Basic Attack contributes a notable portion of overall damage. However, the short attack distance is a pain point of Rover Havoc, making it less comfortable to use Rover Havoc. As the game continues to evolve and higher-difficulty content is introduced, Rover Havoc’s viability has gradually diminished in comparison to newer characters.
Sub DPS – Roccia
Because Roccia’s Outro Skill grants a 20% Havoc damage bonus and a 25% Basic Attack damage bonus as deepen effects, she is the most suitable support for Rover Havoc.
Roccia Best Team III
Main DPS – Encore
Encore’s main damage type is Basic Attack, she needs a teammate who can enhance her Basic Attack type damage.
Sub DPS – Roccia
Because Roccia’s Outro Skill grants a 25% Basic Attack damage bonus as deepen effects, which makes her another suitable support Encore.
Roccia Best Team IV
Main DPS – Roccia (S6)
This team is recommended only when Roccia reaches S6, as S6 unlocks her main DPS playstyle. At that point, Roccia needs a character who can boost her Havoc or Heavy Attack damage.
Sub DPS – Mortefi
In a single-target environment, Mortefi is the top choice. Morefi can provide Heavy Attack DMG deepen buff to Roccia.

Calcharo
Calcharo primarily uses the enhanced Basic Attack and enhanced Forte Circuit after using Resonance Liberation for damage output. In the series of damage output after using Resonance Liberation, the damage ratio between Resonance Liberation and Basic Attack is approximately 2.2:1. Additionally, the Resonance Skill can be released at intervals, allowing full enjoyment of the permanent five-star weapon’s effects.
After using Resonance Liberation, Calcharo gains a new Basic Attack model. The multiplier for this attack is related to the level of Resonance Liberation, but the main proportion of his damage comes from the “Death Messenger” in Forte Circuit. Resonance Skill can be used during the Liberation period to interrupt Basic Attack combos, quickly generate Forte Circuit Energy, and trigger “Death Messenger”. The main components of his damage output consist of these three elements.
Encore
mong the permanent 5-star Fusion DPS characters, Encore enters an enhanced state and changes attack mode after activating Resonance Liberation. The main source of Encore’s damage comes from Basic Attacks after activating Resonance Liberation, not the Forte Circuit. Additionally, the cooldowns for Encore’s regular Resonance Skill and the enhanced Resonance Skill during Resonance Liberation are independent of each other.
In Encore’s damage output after activating Resonance Liberation, Basic Attack damage accounts for nearly 70%. Choosing Sanhua as a teammate can maximize her damage potential.
Sanhua
Although Sanhua has burst capabilities, the overall damage is not high. In Sanhua’s output cycle, Resonance Skill damage and Resonance Liberation account for approximately 51% and 41%, respectively.
Although Resonance Skill damage is slightly higher, there is a risk of missing in actual combat. Sanhua has a unique Forte Circuit trigger mechanism similar to rhythm games, and hitting enemies can cause a slight time-stopping effect.
Sanhua has the fastest Concerto Energy and Resonance Energy acquisition efficiency in the game, making it the most versatile and best-feeling support in the current version. After using the Intro Skill, Sanhua only needs 3 seconds to fully charge Concerto Energy and trigger QTE, activating the Main DPS for output. Our team composition recommendations for various characters also show Sanhua’s high versatility.
